This video presents the team of students (year 3 to year 6) that participated at Mystique 2019, accompanied by their teacher, Mr. James McMahon, from St. James Primary School, Brighton (Melbourne, Australia).
Special thanks to the team of teachers, parents and students who worked on this and also to their mentor and sponsor, Mr. Ross Heron, Commercial Projects Lead at Telstra, Melbourne.
Mystique is the Global Wearable Technology Fashion Show, coordinated by Dr. Gabriela Raducan, the Founder & Director of Tech4Future, a not-for-profit that aims to embed fashion and technology, and to promote them through education:
Mystique took place on the 6th of October 2019, with the help of our amazing volunteers:
Ms. Teodora Raducan
Mr. Manas Misra
Mr. Ali Shahid
Ms. Pujanee Perera
Mrs. Seetha Perera
Ms. Honey Shirly Sabu
Mr. Abdulrahman Abouchamat
Ms. Van Le Nguyen
Tech4Future partnered for this event with IEEE La Trobe Student Brach, ESOLU (Engineering Society of La Trobe University), IEEE Young Professionals Victorian Section and LIEF (La Trobe Innovation and Entrepreneurship Foundry).
The show marked 10 years of IEEE Day Celebrations, and it also promoted interdisciplinary global collaborations and encouraged females to join STEM fields. The participants’ work was displayed at a real Fashion Show, with a showcase of the designs on the runway in a beautiful setting at La Trobe University Union Hall, Melbourne.
A big thank you to our event sponsors (La Trobe University, La Trobe Student Union, Pakronics and Mr. Ross Heron) and to our Exhibitors (Telstra, Arduino, Ericsson, Deloitte, Reesby, Litmus Labs and Pakronics).
