This video is dedicated to my late father, Reynold R. Sorenson, a sky pilot for real who could and did build airplanes from scratch among many other talents, and Mandroid whose music I used with permission and great gladness. The footage was recorded on the 30th anniversary of my father’s death, May 19. When I do my swing work outs I always think of my father as I gaze into the sky–and I wonder what he would think about the sky…’cause he was always thinking about the sky…
Swinging is the gold standard in exercise and something everyone can do. It’s the closest you’re gonna get to flying short of a pilot’s license.
We built our swing earlier this year to accommodate a very large heavy man so that almost everyone can use it. It cost just under $1000. It’s rated to hold 2000 pounds. We did all of the work ourselves and I’m not going to lie, there were scary moments–we could have used a dude to help us out. I still shudder to think….but all is well that ends well! Seems like swings are disappearing everywhere. All of the parks where we live have removed the swings for “safety reasons.” I don’t have to tell you truthers how crazy that is. Even when we had swings here–the adults used them more than the children!
Anyway–we did our own thing and I advise anyone who wants a nice, secure, dependable way to get some exercise every day–take up swinging! And use Mandroid’s music–very upbeat and therapeutic somehow. I highly recommend it! It’s like a musical score of your life and great to do stuff to, very similar to the way classical music helps concentration and stamina. Blessed Be Young People! Over and out.
